Dr. Unson earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He is a New York State licensed physician in medicine and surgery. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Board Certified in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Unson is both medically and traditionally trained in acupuncture. He is a New York State licensed acupuncturist certified to practice medical acupuncture, which requires 3 years of training. Dr. Unson attended New York College in Syosset, where he later served as an adjunct professor of acupuncture and oriental medicine.
